The super-sized 2011 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 full-size SUV ups the ante with more power and towing capability, and the ability to carry your whole family (and more) with you wherever you need to get.
The Suburban 2500 is the heavy duty version of the normal Suburban 1500, and receives a power upgrade with a 352-horsepower, 6.0-liter flex-fuel V-8, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine also features active fuel management, which automatically shuts down additional cylinders when they are not needed to preserve fuel economy. Maximum towing capacity for the Suburban 2500 is 9,600 pounds, a 1,500 pound increase from the regular Suburban. An optional towing package includes an integrated trailer brake controller, which assists with safe braking while towing cargo. Competing with the Ford Expedition EL, Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia in the full-size SUV segment, the Suburban is available either in rear- or four-wheel-drive configurations and two trim levels: base LS and LT. One of the largest SUVs on the market, the 2011 Chevrolet Suburban sits on standard 17-inch wheels or optional 18- and 20-inch wheels. A plethora of exterior options include an outside mirror turn signal display, power liftgate, power running boards, fog lamps and a luggage rack. In addition, a custom grille, recovery hooks, door handles, mirror caps and fuel-filler doors can all be had in chrome. Inside, the 2011 Suburban offers three rows of seats and plenty of convenience and luxury options, including a navigation system, rear-seat entertainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, first- and second-row heated seats, Bluetooth connectivity, steering-wheel mounted controls, and remote vehicle start.
