In an effort to improve fuel economy, the 2011 Audi Q5 introduces an all-new 211-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. If you require more power, a 270-horsepower, 3.2-liter V-6 is mated to a manually shiftable six-speed automatic. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system comes standard and delivers the power to all four wheels for safe all-weather driving. Fuel efficiency is up to 18-20 mpg in the city and 23-27 mpg on the highway. Towing capacities reach a hefty 4,400 pounds and the Q5 competes with the BMW X3, Volvo XC60, Infiniti EX35, Mercedes-Benz GLK, and Acura RDX. Underneath, Audi’s sports-oriented suspension keeps the 2011 Q5 well planted. An optional active suspension system with a ride height adjustment feature allows the driver to set the Q5 low for fun driving, or raise it up to gain clearance for any off-road maneuvers. The 2011 Audi Q5 rests atop 19-inch alloy wheels, while heated mirrors, a roof rack, aluminum trim and LED taillights come standard.
