New Acura Vehicles Overview
Acura shifts into high gear with its 2011 model year lineup, headlined by the all-new wagon edition of its entry-level TSX model. The TSX Wagon comes with a 201-horsepower, 2.4-liter four cylinder engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. It also receives the slight changes for 2011 also given to the rest of the TSX models, including updated interior trim, new front-end styling, and an optional hard-drive based navigation system.
The sporty TL sedan continues unchanged from the previous year. The TL retains the prominent Acura front grille found on many of their current vehicles, as well as the powerful and responsive 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6. Acura’s flagship RL sedan receives a mid-model refresh, gaining a newly revised front fascia and grille as well as larger 18-inch wheels. The interior gets new headrests, gauges, and stitching. Under the hood, the RL is now mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The RL can also be had in several new exterior paint and interior trim colors. After debuting in 2010, the ZDX crossover coupe remains relatively unchanged. A competitor to vehicles like the BMW X6, the ZDX keeps its 300-horsepower V-6 engine and distinct styling. The midsize MDX SUV carries over the front fascia and interior upgrades from the previous year, as well as a long list of available safety features. With seating for seven, all-wheel-drive, and a towing capability of up to 5,000 pounds the MDX is a serious SUV with luxury features. Also relatively unchanged for 2011 is Acura’s compact SUV – the RDX. Combining sleek styling, SUV utility and premium sedan features, the RDX is a tough competitor in the luxury compact SUV segment. |
